A torn-up roofline after a storm isn't a "get to it next week" problem, and we don't treat it like one — Roof Repair Smedway answers, scopes the damage, and dispatches a crew across Corunna fast.
Nobody on our crew learned Roof Leak Repair work from a training video. They learned it climbing real roofs in Corunna, MI, in real weather, on jobs where a wrong call meant a callback.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Documentation on request, no exceptions.
Storms don't wait for office hours, so our on-call line doesn't either.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
Crews dispatched from within Corunna, MI, not another region entirely.
Most emergency calls we get trace back to a smaller sign that went unnoticed for weeks or months.
None of the six signs below require an emergency call on their own, but each one is worth a scheduled inspection before it turns into something bigger.
Heavy granule loss usually means the shingles are nearing the end of their service life.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Daylight visible through the attic roof boards means water has the same path in.
A spreading brown ring on a ceiling almost always means water is tracking in from somewhere on the roof.
Rooms that run noticeably hotter than the rest of the house often trace back to roof or attic issues.
A bare patch after high wind is a direct gap in your roof's weather barrier that needs covering right away.
Not every call needs the same fix, so we scope each Corunna job individually instead of running everything through one generic quote.
Read through the categories and you'll usually recognize your own roof problem in one of them — that's intentional, since we scope calls the same way we've organized this list.
When wind or hail rips open a section of roofing, we tarp it fast to stop water intrusion, then schedule the permanent fix right behind it.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
Flat roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water problems early.
Material selection is part of the replacement conversation, matched to your climate exposure and budget.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
Homeowners tell us the not-knowing is often worse than the repair itself, so we try to remove as much guesswork from the process as we can.
A dispatcher logs your address, roof type, and the problem, then schedules based on urgency.
You get a plain-language explanation, not just a number.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
Once approved, the crew completes the work to manufacturer spec and cleans the site before leaving.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Corunna homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
